Like our uniqueness with hair, no two individual scalps are the same either (I’ve learned that my daughter has different scalp needs than me). In all truthfulness, I ignored my scalp prior to returning to natural hair. Growing up, my mother never “greased” my scalp so I didn’t give any attention to it in that way. I did not experience issues with dry, itchy or flaky scalp.
However, there are two things that I would like to incorporate into my “scalp regimen”:
1) Begin to oil my scalp at least twice a week.
2) Usually, along with doing that you would massage the oil into your scalp. I have read many great things regarding the benefits of scalp massages and they feel so good!
It will be hard for me to develop this habit since I’m not used to giving my scalp any attention but hopefully I can stick with it and reap some wonderful benefits.
What do you do to care for your scalp?
Thanks for reading. Be blessed!

callalily,
I oil my scalp at least twice a week... sometimes three times a week ...and always followed by a scalp massage ( I love doing this part) not to mention our scalp and hair benefits from the both of them.
When I oil my scalp I use herb infused castor oil mixed with a bit of emu oil...I love it... and so does my scalp and hair.
Thanks for asking... and take care.
I cleanse my scalp with either a sulfate free shampoo or ACV rinse. If I don't, 'suspicious' things happen...lol. But in between washes I use a light oil and apply to my scalp or a hair serum from Bee Mine
@ zainab1 - I have several sulfur-based oils that I need to start using up so I figured I needed a plan or they will just sit there collecting dust; now the action part. . . um wish me luck :-)
@ Chai - "suspicious" things :-) lol
