African Black Soap - Shampoo Review

A warm "welcome" to my new subscribers and a heartfelt "thank you" to everyone who follows, reads and leaves comments on my blog.

I wanted to update you on my experience with the shampoo I made. On this post I mentioned I would break down my black soap bar into liquid form to use as a shampoo. I did not use the recipe I originally included on that post.

Here is what I did: I wanted to make a small trial batch so I used a 4oz plastic bottle that had a flip top lid. I took a section of my black soap and cut it in small cubes and placed it in the bottle. Then I poured distilled water in the bottle (enough to cover the soap). This took about a little over half of the bottle. I let this sit for a day to give the soap time to dissolve. When I came back to it, I filled to remainder of the bottle with aloe vera juice, vegetable glycerin, jojoba oil, olive oil and sage essential oil. I didn't measure anything I used. After I stirred my mixture, I was done.

My thoughts: I absolutely LOVE this shampoo!!! If you remember those commericals where the woman is expressing total ecstasy as she is shampooing her hair - yeah that was me, lol :-) The shampoo did an extremely good job of cleansing my hair and scalp while adding moisuture at the same time. I think I FINALLY found my staple shampoo.

I would definitely recommend making your own shampoo with this natural wonder. I'd love to hear your reviews if you decide to give it a try.

Thanks for reading. Be blessed!
