The need to buy: I'm losing control

So far I’m on track with my hair product line up. I’m getting to know what I like and what I don’t so I see a full PJ recovery in view (YAY). In most of the product categories, I’m finding out what my staples are and what I’m not truly committed to. There are a few protein conditioners that I will be trying to see if I should incorporate them into my regimen, along with testing a clarifying shampoo (Come Clean or Pure Curls – haven’t decided which one).

Right now I’m struggling with wanting to buy styling products. I’ve definitely got to try Oyin Handmade Burnt Sugar and Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magic. I’ve also been wanting to re-purchase a hair oil - Afroveda SunSilk Citrus Hair Oil (simply because the smell is divine).

Truth is I don’t NEED to get them right now. I’ve got several pomades I can finish before getting the Oyin. I also have 2 comparable products to the Uncle Funky’s in my stash. And oils! Lord, I’ve got an army of those in my arsenal – seriously!

I’m trying to do the sensible thing and wait until I’ve used up some of what I already have but it’s hard (I can hear them calling). I want it, I want it, I want it. . . PLEASE HELP! :-)

Thanks for reading. Be blessed!

Hello, I love your site. I am a fan. I use uncle funkys daughter curly magic, from time to time and I would have to say I like it. For me it does what it says it will do, great curls, shine and make curls longer. For me it does carry a crunch behind it, so what I do is I add a little oil (jojoba oil)into the palm of my hand with it before applying. And I also spritz oil onto my hair (just a little) before applying along with a leave in conditioner. And this has helped much in the way of the crunch.

I am currently considering trying their Extra Butter and maybe their Thirsty curls. Try it out ,lets us know how you make out. Take care, and keep up the great work !

@ ChocolateOrchid - LOL, I've decided to hold of on buying products for now but I am working towards saving up for a steamer now :-)

@ zainab1 - Thank you for the compliment, it REALLY means a lot to me! I will absolutely try the Curly Magic in the future and I appreciate your tips.
